    Pick your region

    North Sea, Europe or Worldwide. No account needed to start.

    Snap the shell

    Fill the frame with one shell. Overcast light and wet sand work best.

  3. 03

    One name, or three

    When the app is confident you get one name. When it is not, you get the top three. Worn or broken shells always get three options.

Why it exists

On a real beach many shells are worn, broken or half buried, so one confident name is not always honest. Seashell Identifier AI tells you when it is not sure and shows the lookalikes, so you learn what to look for. It is made for learning and collecting and does not put a value on shells. Results are AI estimates, not a scientific determination.

Privacy

To identify a shell, the photo is sent to our server and an AI model. Your collection stays on your phone. How to delete an account is on delete your account. Full details will be in the privacy policy before launch.
